After a number of cyclone and earthquake impacts in Vanuatu in just a few days, we want to make it a bit easier to keep in touch.

At a time like this, you don’t want to have to worry about the cost of a call to loved ones.

All calls to Vanuatu from Telstra home phones, post-paid and pre-paid mobiles are currently free, and will be until 11:59pm AEDT on Sunday 19 March 2023.

Please keep in mind when making calls that telecommunications infrastructure in Vanuatu has been impacted in some places by the recent cyclones. This means your call may not immediately go through due to potential damage and/or power issues.

Our own Digicel teams are on the ground working hard to restore connectivity in impacted areas when and where it is safe to do so. We’re also supporting any of our people who have been affected on the ground.

We’re here to help if you have any questions, and we hope this helps in a small way.

Things you need to know

  • Customers on Telstra Pre-Paid need to have an active recharge on their account within its expiry period.
  • Depending on your account, some people may not see the free calls logged in their call records.
  • Free calls are from Australia only, and don’t include calls while roaming overseas.
