I’ve seen a lot of trends come and go in the consumer tech space and there’s no doubt in my mind that wearables are here to stay. They are the most exciting technology to launch since smartphones and have huge potential now and in the future to change the way we live.
With this in mind, and because of growing customer demand, we’ve decided to launch a standalone range of wearables that will be available in 370 Telstra stores across the country!
For the uninitiated, wearables are smart technology that you can wear like watches, glasses, fitness bands and more. They are an extension of your smartphone and provide you with timely notifications of messages and calls and from apps on your device.
But one of the features I find most valuable about these products is the sensors that can measure different things like heart rate, steps and sleep.
For our new range, we’ve selected some of the best wearables in the market from leading brands such as FitBit, Garmin, Jawbone, Samsung, Huawei and Striiv.
The range is designed to:
UP YOUR FITNESS with features like heart rate monitors and sensors that can track how many stairs you’ve climbed
GIVE YOU MORE INFORMATION by putting handy notifications and buttons on your wrist like caller ID, text and music controls. This means you can manage some of the things happening on your phone without taking it out of your bag or pocket.
ENCOURAGE YOU TO LIVE A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE by crunching data from sensors that measure steps, calories, distance, active minutes and sleep. This will help you better understand your daily habits and help you decide to increase or introduce certain behaviors. Some of the products will also tell you when it’s time to get up and get moving!
What you can expect when you walk into your local Telstra shop is to pick up a wearable try it on and see if it works for you! Also we can help you find a wearable that suits your budget, your lifestyle and your smartphone whether it’s Android or Apple.
Also, we’re making it easy for you to buy your wearable by offering the option to pay it off over 12 or 24 months if you have an existing Go Mobile Plan with Telstra.
