We recently celebrated the return of Suncorp Super Netball for 2018, and the fact that Telstra TV customers can catch every game live. We also asked the team captains what they’re currently streaming on their Telstra TVs (aside from the netball, of course).

Here’s what some of the world’s top sportswomen are currently chilling out to after training, and you can watch of all this tonight on your Telstra TV.

Gabi Simpson, Queensland Firebirds & Courtney Bruce, West Coast Fever

UnReal (Stan)

UnReal - Stan - Telstra TV

A popular one with the captains at the moment, UnReal peels back the veneer of a not-so-realistic reality dating show to reveal how unreal they really are. Every character is manipulative. Every character is self-centred Every character will stop at nothing to get what they want.  While Courtney Bruce admits the show is a bit dark, she’s hooked nonetheless, “there’s a little bit going on in there. A lot going on actually!” she says.

Madi Robinson, Collingwood Magpies

Riverdale (Netflix)

Riverdale - Netflix - Telstra TV

This addictive teen drama series based on the characters of Archie Comics, has Madi Robinson sometimes questioning what she’s even watching. Nevertheless, she hasn’t missed an episode of the action at Riverdale High which she says has “taken a very dark turn” in the final episode of Season 2.

Geva Mentor, Sunshine Coast Lightning

Legion (Foxtel Now)

Legion - Foxtel Now - Telstra TV

And it seems that comic book adaptations are popular with our netballers. Geva Mentor is currently right into Legion, which is from the Marvel series, and tells the story of schizophrenic David Haller who has struggled with mental illness since he was a child. Now in his 30s, he spends his days in the structured routine of a psychiatric hospital, when an encounter with a beautiful new patient raises the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees – might actually be real.

Kim Green, Giants

Bachelor in Paradise (tenplay)

Bachelor in Paradise - tenplay - Telstra TV

On the rare occasion Kim takes time out to chill out and watch some TV, her current show of choice is Bachelor in Paradise. This elimination-style reality competition TV series follows former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants on their second chance quest to find true love.

Abbey McCulloch, Sydney Swifts

Californication (Stan)

Californication - Stan - Telstra TV

Even 11 years after the first episode aired, this one continues to win viewers over with its seven seasons of novelist Hank Moody’s self-destruction.  Abbey McCulloch is currently deep in the shambles that is Hank’s life, after he moves from New York to California and suffers from writers block. His career is on the brink and he just can’t stop yielding to every temptation.
