There’s no better time of year to kick back on the couch, crank up the air-con and enjoy the sheer relaxation that comes from binge-watching a great series or heart-warming film. Here’s a selection of our current favourites on Telstra TV to tuck into these Christmas holidays.

The Christmas Chronicles (Netflix)

In another adorable Netflix Original Christmas film, you’ll quickly discover that the hilariously jolly Kurt Russell is the Santa Claus we all needed in our lives. The movie follows siblings Kate and Teddy who accidentally crash Santa’s sleigh, and are forced to work together with him to save Christmas before the morning. Armed with his loyal elves, the team set out on an adventure that will keep both adults and kids hooked until the end.

No Activity: Christmas Special (Stan)

Lovably dysfunctional, this hilarious police duo are back in this holiday special sure to have you in stiches. If you’re yet to get on board the AACTA Award-winning and Logie Award-nominated series that is No Activity, you’ll love the introduction to low-level detectives Hendy and Stokes (Patrick Brammall and Darren Gilshenan) as they tackle their latest police assignment. Combining raw Aussie humour with a lot of strong opinions about the holiday season, there’s plenty of laugh-out-loud banter between these cheeky cops.

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure (BigPond Movies)

It goes without saying that Disney’s Frozen is one of the biggest animated films ever made, and in this festive holiday sequel, all the cast favourite s are back. Join universally adored snowman Olaf for warm hugs and holiday cheer as he presents Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. Packed full of four catchy new songs guaranteed to get stuck in your head, your little ones will love following their favourite characters on their adventure to rescue Christmas for Anna and Elsa.

The Great British Bake-Off: Christmas Edition (Foxtel Now)

For most families, Christmas and cooking goes hand-in-hand, and there are few shows more decadent than The Great British Bake-Off. Embracing all things sweet and fluffy, you’ll love joining popular former contestants and TV favourites as they battle for the title of Star Baker – this time, whipping up all the usual festive goodies. Sit back and drool over all the delicious holiday food, without having to slave in the kitchen yourself.

Carols in the Domain (7Plus)

With every year promising to be bigger than the last, getting into the Christmas spirit is easy when you’ve got much-loved Sunrise hosts David Koch, Samantha Armytage, and Natalie Barr leading the celebrations. Perfect for a whole-family viewing event, this year’s acts include everyone from The Wiggles and Micky Mouse to Aussie-favourites Samantha Jade and Thirsty Merc. Enjoy all the laughs, music and action live on 22 December on Channel 7 or catch up later on 7Plus.

The Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding (Netflix)

Adorably corny and hilariously cliché, the original film gained a cult following on Netflix after introducing us to the unlikely relationship between magazine journalist Amber and royal Prince Richard. In this equally extravagant sequel, the couple are preparing to wed after a happy year-long engagement, but planning a royal wedding proves more political than Amber could have expected. Facing external criticism, strict etiquettes and the impending pressure of becoming Queen, prepare yourself for all the glorious ups and downs you’d expect from a glitzy Christmas rom-com.
