Great news Windows fans, the much anticipated Nokia Lumia 930 is coming to Telstra.
The flagship phone comes with some fantastic new hardware and software features which I think people will love. And of course you’ll be able to enjoy it on a mobile network that offers four times the 4G coverage area of any other network.
Its rounded back makes it great to hold in your hand and the flat metallic edges means it’s easy to hold while taking photos. It even comes with a dedicated 2-stage physical camera button so you don’t need to fuss about taking the photo on the screen.
The Lumia 930 is our first phone to come with Windows Phone 8.1 which brings with it features such as Word Flow keyboard, which allows you to swipe through letters for a faster typing experience, and Action Centre, which puts your notifications and customisable quick settings in one convenient place.
Another signature of Windows Phone that has undergone an upgrade with the Lumia 930 is the Live Tiles on the Start screen. You can now have up to three columns of icons on the start screen, and you can choose a custom photo or wallpaper for your start screen – making this the most customisable Windows Phone ever.
Speaking of photos, the camera in the Lumia 930 is outstanding. With a formidable 20MP camera, dual LED flash and world first Dolby Digital Plus surround sound recording, not only will your photos look fantastic but your videos will sound great too.
The phone also comes with NFC and is wireless charging-capable, which is why Telstra customers who pre-order will receive a JBL PowerUp Speaker (RRP $389.95). Because the PowerUp has NFC pairing and Bluetooth streaming, you can just tap the phone against the speaker to connect, then kick back and stream your favourite songs while the speaker charges your phone as well.

We’ll also be launching the Nokia Lumia 635 on which is a compact but powerful 4G smartphone with a quad-core CPU, 5MP camera and 4.5” display. Along with the latest Windows Phone 8.1 features, Lumia 635 comes with a number of features that you might expect to find on a more expensive phone — including voice-guided navigation, downloadable offline maps and built-in Microsoft Office Mobile.
19 August: The 635 is in-store!

15 July: important update on availability
Thanks for your patience while we work through the launch date for the Lumia 930.
To ensure our customers have a great mobile experience on our network we have a policy of always testing the coverage performance, stability and data throughput performance of each mobile phone model before offering it to customers.
There was a minor hardware update made after we tested and approved the Lumia 930 that we were only recently made aware of. This has meant that we have needed to re-test the device to check it meets our performance benchmarks before putting it in the hands of our customers.
The testing is currently underway and we promise to complete this as quickly as possible. As soon as we can confirm the revised pre-order and launch dates we will update you.
