We’re thrilled to be working with the Tel Aviv-based accelerator program, The Junction. The partnership will connect our Australia and Singapore-based startups with mentors and advisors from the all-important Israeli startup ecosystem.

Aptly named ‘the startup nation’, Israel has the highest density of startups per capita, with the booming trend in startup entrepreneurship and innovation showing no sign of slowing. The Junction is Israel’s leading accelerator for early stage startups, helping entrepreneurs advance their ventures.

The agreement will see muru-D and The Junction create joint initiatives to build a community network, enabling both parties to access and engage with each other’s mentor and investor communities and share best practice. This joint resource will further strengthen and expand muru-D’s global startup network.

Charlotte Yarkoni, President of Telstra Software Group and muru-D Co-Founder, said, “This partnership is a phenomenal opportunity to share and learn from a like-minded, world class accelerator program. More importantly, Israel is one of the most important geographies in the startup world. When we add this partnership to our rapidly expanding ecosystem, our established global alliance network now covers all the major bases – Sydney, Singapore, Silicon Valley, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Auckland; The Junction joins our relationships with 500 Startups, HAX Accelerator, Chinaccelerator and The Icehouse.

The Junction was established in January 2011 by Genesis Partners as the first accelerator for startups in Israel.  Over the past five years The Junction has hosted 116 companies, with results far above industry standards, including three companies completing successful exits (KitLocate, acquired by Yandex; ClarityRay, acquired by Yahoo; and, acquired by Wix), and 57 companies raising funds of over US$145 million from accredited investors (Eatwith, Appsflyer, Honeybook, Meerkat among others).

Amir Gelman, Manager of The Junction accelerator said, “muru-D opens a huge new market for Israeli startups with the support of one of Australia’s most successful and innovative companies. The Junction also shares muru-D’s philosophy of developing people and entrepreneurs first and, with this working philosophy in mind, the partnership will provide access to The Junction’s facilities and a new ecosystem of ongoing mentorship to muru-D startups and alumni.”

We can’t wait to start working with The Junction to see true collaboration at its finest.
