We’ve found an easier way to find the right music or podcast for every moment on your Telstra TV, thanks to the addition of music streaming app Spotify.
We want to bring you a new seamless and unified entertainment experience, so we’ve teamed up with Spotify to combine the music and artists you love in one place for the perfect audio adventure.
Today, we are announcing the launch of the official Spotify app on Telstra TV, expanding the range of audio content available on our very own streaming device. We’re progressively releasing the app to all generations of Telstra TV devices over the next few days, so you’ll be able to find it shortly on the Telstra TV’s App Store.
For Telstra TV customers, the addition of the app will allow existing (Free and Premium) Spotify members to sign-in to their account and find all their playlists, and for new members to create a free account via Telstra TV.
Spotify is the world’s largest global music subscription service and its massive library is now available to over 1.4 million homes and living rooms around Australia through Telstra TV.
“We are incredibly excited to be introducing the Spotify service to Telstra TV customers, enabling the ease and convenience of streaming our huge collection of music and podcast content, from their TVs. The addition of Spotify delivers yet another experience to discover and rediscover great audio content, and we look forward to bringing this to more Australian audiences with Telstra,” comments Karen Lawson, Managing Director for Spotify Australia and New Zealand.
With the new Spotify app for Telstra TV, free and premium Spotify members can now access Spotify’s 50 million tracks directly from your TV – allowing you to host your own lip sync battles, do chores to the latest dance bangers, chill to some all-time greatest hits day and night, or expand your mind with over 450,000 podcasts – all from the comfort of your home.
With Telstra TV, enjoy the best streaming apps, the latest movies, live sports, catch up TV and more. Through Telstra TV Smart Search – Australia’s first integrated live TV, catch-up, and on-demand search function – you can also search simultaneously for movies, TV and people. This includes free-to-air, catch up TV, Foxtel Now, Netflix, Stan, Kayo Sports, Telstra TV Box Office, Hayu, Animelab, and DocPlay.
Plus, if you want to take things up a notch, with voice control built into the Telstra TV’s clever Wi-Fi-enabled remote, you can control, play and search with your voice – just ask to search, play and pause movies and TV shows, switch between apps and much more.
If you don’t have a Spotify account, you can create a free Spotify account directly from your Telstra TV device. To access Spotify, Telstra customers can now download the Spotify app on Telstra TV.
