As Telstra’s Graduate Program Manager, I’ve seen thousands of graduates join our business in the eight years I’ve been with the company. It’s been a real pleasure watching them develop and help shape our company’s direction and future.

We’ve launched a dedicated hub for Students and Graduates incorporating all the things you’d like to know about the Telstra Graduate Program and Telstra as an employer.

We have seven streams to apply for including: engineering, business and commerce, customer-centric design, finance and strategy, marketing, HR and IT which run over 18 months. Throughout their time on the program, our graduates take part in challenging development activities that focus on innovation, creativity, self-awareness and measured risk taking.

Our program offers real and rewarding work that will help you grow professionally and personally, while developing your technical and soft skills. You’ll get a minimum of three rotations and work on an innovation project while being supported by a buddy, mentor and manager. Of course, the projects you work on will vary depending on your stream – but you can be sure they’ll be stimulating, challenging and exciting.

So what do we look for in a graduate? We have a clear set of values, and a vision to be a world-class technology leader that empowers people to thrive in a connected world. We want graduates who are just as excited about our values and vision as we are. We’re global, with 32,000 employees across more than 20 countries.

We’re innovating in ways you may not know about. Did you know we’re venturing into cutting-edge new areas such as e-health, next generation cellular connectivity, the internet of things, and even self-driving automotive vehicles?

There’s a world of opportunity here – so we’re looking for people who really want to start their career on the leading edge. For more information on what we look for in a grad and the things you can do on our program, be sure to check out our Graduate Program landing page.

My advice? Take a good look around our website, come and see us at your nearest careers fair or chat to us on Facebook if you need any more information.

If you’re looking to hit the ground running and find your edge, we want to hear from you! Hurry, applications will close at 11:55pm, Monday 26 March.
