Fostering Safe Connections

Last week we were proud to launch the Telstra Safe Connections program, helping women impacted by domestic violence to stay safely connected to their friends, family and essential services.
In a partnership with the Women’s Services Network (WESNET), each year we will provide 5000 new smartphones, $30 pre-paid credit and information on the safe use of technology to women escaping domestic violence.
Domestic and family violence is a very significant issue in our society, currently impacting around one in three women in their lifetime.
We are also a proud supporter of White Ribbon, Australia’s male-led campaign to end violence against women. As a White Ribbon accredited workplace, we will continue to take active steps to stop violence against women, including advocating on the issue.
