We have already taken a number of steps to help keep our customers connected through what is a challenging time for all of us. We’re adding to that by making some precautionary changes to how we run our Telstra Stores to ensure we can continue serving you through this period.
From Monday, March 23 to Sunday, April 12, a small number of our 350 stores will close temporarily. We’re doing this so we can organise our retail staff into crews that will work on opposite shifts. This means if one team needs to go into self-isolation, we have another crew on standby to continue helping our customers.
We’ve intentionally grouped staff crews from nearby stores, so if your local store is closed you can visit another store nearby. This will help our retail network stay open for our customers over this period.
At this stage only 23 of our 350 stores nationally will close, so most remain open for business, and you’re welcome to come in and speak to one of our team members. Some stores may adjust their operating hours from time to time, so we recommend you check Telstra.com for opening hours before visiting.
We take the safety of our people and customers very seriously and have robust hygiene standards in place in stores. We ask that our customers only visit the store if they’re feeling well and do not meet any COVID-19 self-isolation criteria advised by the Australian government, such as having recently returned from overseas or been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
