JB Rousselot is Executive Director of Media, Applications and User Experience for Telstra. In this role he has responsibility for the product development and management of Telstra’s extensive portfolio of new media properties (across online, mobiles and IPTV) and fixed and mobile applications.
Prior to this role JB was Executive Director of Telstra Media where he had operational and commercial responsibility for Telstra’s content properties (Sports, News, Entertainment and Lifestyle) and secured a number of key content deals. JB was also on the board of some of Telstra’s new media investments in China including China-M and SharpPoint.
Prior to joining Telstra, JB had an extensive career in new media and telecommunications. He was the CEO of IP telephony start up, Interline (prior to it being sold to a Nasdaq listed competitor). JB was also an Executive Director of the Australasian Media and Communications Fund where he was a Board member and oversaw investments in Austar, Looksmart, Seek, Red Sheriff, Astracon and FreeOnline.
JB’s career also included consulting (Booz-Allen), merchant banking (Turnbull and Partners) and entertainment (Disney).
JB has been living in Australia for the last 16 years. He holds a an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of management (USA) and a Masters Degree in Engineering from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (France).
JB is married with two children.
