Christmas time is about connecting with family and friends, and we know that one way Australians love to connect is through music.

In 2017, Australians are streaming more music than ever before, with the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) estimating that one in eight Australians now subscribe to streaming platforms like Apple Music –  and we don’t expect this streaming trend to slow down over the summer holidays.

While other countries may celebrate a white Christmas, with festive tunes required to brighten up a wintery northern hemisphere day, in Australia, Christmas has a different soundtrack.

Music is integral to the backyard barbeques and summer soirees – it’s how we connect people in the digital world.

That’s why this Christmas, we’re creating a Christmas playlist, dedicated to Australians, by Australians.

To help us create this playlist, we’re asking for Aussies across the country over to jump onto our Facebook page and comment with your favourite festive tune and tag who you want to share it with.

It’s all with thanks to our friends at Apple Music, and the final playlist will be available on Apple Music to stream all Christmas long.

So what are you waiting for?! Head to our Facebook page here and leave your Christmas song dedication in the comments.

A little insider tip, we will be announcing and streaming the Telstra Christmas Playlist on Apple Music from 19th December. Keep an eye out.

Oh and if you didn’t already know, music streaming on Apple Music is data-free on the Telstra mobile network, so you can stream all season long.
