Here, we’ve got seven shows to watch out for on 7Plus on your Telstra TV.
Home and Away
Returning from its summer break on January 29, there’s plenty in store as this family favourite prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2018. Promising exciting new characters, show-stopping drama and unlikely romances, it’s never quiet in Summer Bay. The new series follows on from the tragic death of Kat Chapman (Pia Miller) and her unborn child at the end of 2017, and loyal viewers can expect much more emotion in the coming episodes.
Celebrity chefs Manu Fiedel and Pete Evans are back to judge a new crew of passionate home cooks, bringing with them strong personalities, mouth-watering secret recipes and fierce competition. Jump on board as we watch the contestants battle it out at their ‘instant restaurants’, setting up pop-up menus for their dinner guests that showcase the best of their entrees, mains and desserts. The kitchen fires up again on January 29, available on live TV and the 7Plus App.
The Good Doctor
Another favourite coming back with new episodes on January 29 is much-loved medical drama The Good Doctor. The show follows a young autistic surgical resident who joins the paediatric unit at a prestigious US hospital. Audiences fell in love with his journey of self-discovery last year, as he challenged the scepticism of his fellow surgeons and proved his brilliant medical ability well above his age.
Coming soon, the highly anticipated Hard Sun will bring viewers a brilliant drama series like no other. Set in a pre-apocalyptic world facing numerous crime issues, two unlikely detectives are forced to work together to save human existence from destruction. The pair uncover a government conspiracy revealing the sun will destroy the world in only five years. Follow their action-packed race against the clock with this new show coming to 7Plus in 2018.
Packed to the Rafters
Although we’ve bid goodbye to the lovably dysfunctional Rafter family, you can still catch up on every episode of this Aussie favourite on the 7Plus App. Centred around Dave and Julie and their three children, this light-hearted drama proves that no family is safe from their share of scandals, heartbreak and extremely difficult decisions. For those who haven’t started before, you’ll love watching the Rafters evolve over several seasons as they’re tested by life and all that comes with it.
First hitting Australian screens in the late ‘90s, All Saints went on to become one of the nation’s best medical dramas. The series focuses on the relationships between the hospital’s staff, as well as the day-to-day emotions that arise in the operating room. With all twelve seasons available on the 7Plus App, viewers are able to take a trip down memory lane or find out what all the hype was about.
Laugh out loud with two seasons of Kinne, a genuinely hilarious comedy show jam-packed full of sketches, memorable one-liners and pearls of wisdom from citizens stopped on the streets. The Australian series, starring local comedian Troy Kinne, covers everything from satirical reality shows (think: Mastercooks) to mockumentary-style interviews with guest stars. If you’re looking to lighten up your evenings, catch-up on Kinne on the 7Plus App.
