Ok, so I have a confession to make… I’m music mad.
I love it. I’m constantly singing, and most of the time I’m not aware I’m doing it.
I have been known to sing in the office, in a meeting, really anywhere in public, and not be aware of it until people start looking at me funny.
I love the way a song can completely change your emotions and get you lost in your own world even when you are on a packed train or walking through Bourke St Mall.
I love all music, from Melbourne based artists like Grizzly Jim Lawrie to big hair bands like Bon Jovi and pop (read: guilty pleasure) like Taylor Swift.
Every day I put Telstra’s music streaming service, MOG on and let myself get taken away. One minute I’m front row of a Dave Mathews Band concert and Dave is singing Crash Into Me directly to me and the next minute I’m with the girls on the dance floor of a club (that exists in my bedroom) busting out my best moves to Robyn’s Dancing On My Own.
The best thing about my job is that I’m working with our loyalty team on all the amazing entertainment offerings we have for our customers. Just to say thanks for being a Telstra customer we are giving our customers access to movies, sport and music experiences.
This week we are giving our customers the chance to see Jess Mauboy and Ricky Martin’s dress rehearsals for the NRL Grand Finals and the chance to go to both of their concerts. For someone like me, this is a dream package.
Personally I love Jessica’s voice and think she was amazing in The Sapphires and I can’t go past a bit of Ricky Martin, She Bangs. Did you know Channing Tatum was the bar tender in the film clip? Yep!
