Will Irving was appointed to the role of Group Managing Director of Telstra Business, effective 12 August 2011. Telstra Business is dedicated to meeting the telecommunications needs of nearly 1 million small and medium businesses across Australia.

In 2006 he was named Australian Corporate Lawyer of the Year and the Communications Law Committee of the International Bar Association gave him its Outstanding Achievement Award in 2008. More recently, the Telstra legal team was the ALB Australian Law Awards’ In-House Team of the Year for 2010.

It’s coming up to 100 days since I joined Telstra Business as Group Managing Director and it’s already struck me that I have the best job in the place.
Small business is the lifeblood of the Australian economy – and Telstra Business has a million of these customers on its books. One of the plusses for me is being able to talk to people in small business.
