Geoff Booth...

  • Geoff Booth became Chairman of the Telstra Foundation on 1 January 2011, following a career spanning 38 years with Telstra.

    Prior to his most recent appointment, Geoff served as a Telstra Foundation Director and as the Telstra’s Kids Fund Chairman.

    Geoff was at the helm of one of Telstra’s largest business units, Telstra Country Wide from 2006 until 2010. He also spent five years as Regional Managing Director, Telstra Country Wide, for WA, SA and NT.

    During this time, Geoff worked with government, stakeholders and customers to deliver improved telecommunication services in regional and remote areas. He was instrumental in establishing the Telstra Indigenous Directorate and improving the availability of broadband and mobile telephony in regional Australia.

    In May 2009, Geoff was seconded to the joint Telstra board-management committee established to engage with the Government on NBN and was appointed Group Managing Director, NBN Engagement Team.

    Geoff currently resides in his birth city, Perth. In 2010, he retired from Telstra to pursue his great loves – family, travel, fishing and the outdoors.
