The London Olympic Games are just around the corner but a group of Aussie small businesses are out of the block early.

Across the last few weeks you will have seen the Telstra Business “Go For Business Gold” promotion.

Well here are the finalists!

Just to recall, we asked Aussie small businesses to submit 100 words or less or a video that discussed how they were an exceptional business motivator.

The finalists who were selected will be flown into Sydney on Thursday for a Small Business Master Class with marketing and business experts.

Telstra Business Awards alumni Verify CV and Intact Group will be a couple of the peers involved in the Master Class which will be followed by a networking function at the refurbished Museum of Contemporary Art.

Our judge, Olympic coach Laurie Lawrence, will announce winners at the MCA event. Each business will win a Samsung Galaxy S II 4G smartphone and a visit to their business from an Olympic or Paralympic athlete, along with marketing and PR support.

Laurie will be beamed in live from London using Telstra broadband technology supplied to the MCA as part of its revamp.
