Nation’s first 4G tablet races into stores

Recently we asked our customers what they like doing best on a tablet. Perhaps unsurprisingly web browsing topped the list followed by accessing email, downloading apps and reading the news.  So imagine if you could do all of those things on a tablet much faster when you’re on the move. We reckon it would be pretty appealing and so today we’re launching the nation’s first 4G-powered tablet.

Samsung-4G-Galaxy-Tab-blog-inpost-hi-resOperating on the Telstra Mobile Network – Australia’s only super-fast 4G LTE-enabled network – the Samsung GALAXY Tab 8.9 4G features a high definition 8.9 inch touch screen, a 1.5 GHz dual core processor for fast multi-tasking and weighs a mere 470 grams.

Customers in 4G coverage areas can surf the mobile web on the tab 4G up to five times faster than before. This leap in internet speeds means you can stream HD video and music over the internet, load magazines faster and enjoy rich internet content traditionally confined to a PC screen.

We think it’s going to be really popular with business customers too. In 4G coverage areas GALAXY Tab 8.9 4G can offer speeds typically reserved for the office. Customers will be able to access email, cloud-hosted applications and documents without the need for a bulky laptop and it’s perfect for sharing multimedia content on client visits,.

With Australians adopting mobile tablets in record numbers we think  super-fast 4G connectivity  is set to make these touch-screen devices an even more powerful way to browse the web, watch video and social network on the move. Let us know what you think – would 4g connectivity change the way you use a tablet?
