T-Box. It’s TV the way you want it
Filed under: entertainment, Foxtel, movies, T-Box, tv
I would like to share with you all a great T-Box® educational video that we have recently worked on.
With so many amazing features, defining the Telstra T-Box can be a little tricky. This handy little video will help you discover what it’s all about in the easiest way possible.
The video demonstrates the many features of T-Box – including over 5,000 BigPond® movies and TV episodes on demand; the ability to pause, record and rewind live free-to-air TV with the Personal Video Recorder, My Media to share photos, movies and music, exclusive sports action and access to Foxtel on T-Box. Look out for the video in infomercials, digital (online), TVCs, cinema, magazines and in our stores.
It is available on the T-Box page on Telstra.com as are all the details, or check it out below!

Be nice if you were upfront on the lack of captions with BigPond content.
This is a deal breaker for me and many others (3 million plus Australians are Deaf or have a hearing loss).
Thank you for your feedback on the T-Box. We have taken it into account and are amending our marketing material to ensure it is clear to our customers that captioning of non FTA content is currently not supported. In tandem we continue to actively work on improvements to our products that will allow us to provide captions on BigPond content.

Is there a cable tv connector on the unit.
I live in an apartment block with no external ariels allowed or satelite dishes. There is however a foxtel cable connection in the lounge.
Andrew, I had a look at the T-Box guide and can’t see one. Perhaps give the support team a call on 1300 136 841 and see what’s possbile for your situation.
Great piece of equipment, well it was until the V8 Channel went away. That was the only reason I purchased it in the first place. Interestingly at the last V8 race at Homebush there were signs up all over the place “Watch V8 on T-Box”, nothing anywhere to say that it was going to be gone 2 weeks after that race.
Telstra T-Box Specs.
In 2010 the T-Box had a 320Gig Hard Drive
In 2011 ” ” ” 1TB ” ”
In Feb 2012 ” ” ” ” ”
I bought a T-Box 5 days ago and it only has 230Gig hard drive, why do they keep changing the hardware? or is the T-Box I have just bought old stock.
Hi Terry,
The T-Box has always had a 320GB Hard Disk Drive, however some of this is set aside for downloaded content such as BigPond Movies, and for operating software. This leaves 230GB of space for recording FTA programs, which can be increased by attaching an external hard drive.
