BigPond GameArena’s Weekly Update will broadcast its 300th episode this week. The Update is a weekly wrap up of all the big news in the local games industry – featuring interviews, news reports and first looks at unreleased video games. Presented by industry veteran Andy Wells, the show is available on GameArena and on the T-Box. This is a big deal because this show has been running week on week, every week, interrupted only by Christmas for 6 years. It would have to be one the longest running shows of this type.

This week’s show takes a different tack as Andy looks at how the show has come along across the last six years, but it typically provides a one stop shop for Australian gamers – if its big in games, Andy Wells and the Weekly Update will have it covered. GameArena has long been considered a pioneer in the Australian games media and the longevity of this show certainly reflects that and the commitment that GameArena has to supporting the local gaming industry.
