Send a HeroMessage®, win an Olympic Party!

header-pop-up-party-olympics

It’s hard to believe but we’re less than 50 days away from the Opening Ceremony of the London Games.

Telstra has always been a huge supporter of me and a proud supporter of the Australian Olympic Team, so when they asked me to come onboard as an Olympic Games ambassador and launch a competition that rewarded a community with the ultimate Olympic party, I jumped at the chance.

The Olympics has always galvanized the nation; the games are a hot topic of conversation as all eyes are on our athletes and how they’re performing. Sharing that excitement with not only your friends and family, but your entire community will bring out your true Olympic spirit, and I get to be a part of it with you!

I’ll be one of the biggest supporters of our athletes as they head to London this year because I know how much this means to them, and how much it means to have the support of the nation behind them.

The Athens Games was the scene of my greatest sporting achievement as I fulfilled a life-long dream of winning Olympic Gold and Silver medals – I felt on top of the world and no one could stop me smiling.

One thing I always looked forward to was receiving my daily Telstra HeroMessages. They inspired me and the entire team to go even harder and made me feel so proud to be an Aussie. As an athlete you have to dig deep, and every bit of extra encouragement helps, especially when it’s from someone back home.

London Olympics 2012 - Send a HeroMessage

The Olympic Games only come around once every four years so it’s time for you to find that Olympic spirit within. Start visualising the perfect Telstra HeroMessage to inspire our athletes and win an unforgettable party in the process.

Follow the games motto; Swifter, Higher and Stronger, get creative, and you too could be a winner. I can’t wait to celebrate with you in your hometown as your special Olympic guest of honor – Go Aussie Go!

The competition is only open to Telstra customers, and all you need to do to enter is SMS your HeroMessage to 0498 555 555 for the cost of a standard SMS. Click here for the terms and conditions.

Obviously we all share your disappointment in not achieving your medal aspirations in the final, but we are so very proud of the immense effort and dedication that is reflected in so many of your group and individual performances. Be encouraged & focus on the next opportunity you have to compete at the top level. Just remember, no one result defines who you are so stay strong and courageous and know you are all respected and appreciated. You’re all still champions in our eyes! Go Aussies…
