Find it faster on Telstra.com with our new search, powered by Google

We know how important it is to find the right information fast when you’re online. We’ve been listening to your feedback – the good, the bad and the sometimes ugly – and one of the things you’ve consistently told us is that you want us to make it easier for you to find what you’re looking for on Telstra.com. In response, we’ve removed a lot of unnecessary clutter and put all our account services in the one place so you’re wasting less of your precious time wading through information to get to the stuff you need.
Today I’m pleased to announce that we’ve introduced Google as the search engine to power telstra.com. This means that we’ve got our very own version of Google’s search capability, powering your search queries so you can get the right information, fast.
Many of you would already take advantage of the advanced functionality of Google.com, and some of the key benefits include:
- Popular or most common results will appear first at the top.
- If your typing is as bad as mine, Google will take a pretty good stab at what you meant to type and display the relevant results as well as the “Did you mean…?”, so you can type it again if it’s wrong.
- You’ll see results from not only our site, including answers to frequently asked questions, but also discussions on CrowdSupport™ all in the one spot, at the same time.
Powering our search with Google is just another way we’re trying to make life easier for you. You’ll find a search box on the top right corner of nearly every page on Telstra.com so try it today and as always, let us know what you think. Your feedback is changing the way we operate, for the better.

SO much better. By searching for samsung galaxy just then the product pages for the samsung devices on offer are first, then the page of all android devices.
Just out of curiosity, is this done via that Google Search Appliance do-hickey gadget thing?

Yes.
I thought Telstra was going all-Microsoft (Office 365 for T-suite and Windows Live for Bigpond) so I am surprised that the search is not powered by “Bing”, although ai am sure that Google is better
Igot a new I pad can I get google for it and iPhone to I got a good deal and I,m so happy thanks telstrah
Still can’t access my “Data useage” and when I go to “access my account” only one of my 3 current services is shown and one old cancelled service , i suppose this doesn’t really matter because there is no actual information there to view any way !!!! Why does it take up to 6 weeks for a new service to display , When it takes you less than 10 minutes to start charging for it , if not instantly ????? Thanks again , Telstra. One more thing , these stupid security codes below , why is one easy to read and the other sometimes impossible to decipher , why do you have to make everything so frustratingly difficult , WHY ? I know why , so you can pay one of your MASTER MIND CRONIES another million bucks for stuffing the public about. Don’t you think that hackers would be awake up to the old one easy , one hard code scenario .
Hi Mark. If you send me your account and contact details I’ll have someone look at your account and give you a call. Brendan
