The fastest smartphone in Australia – the HTC Velocity 4G – could be yours if you can prove to us that you should be the guest blogger to review it, right here on Telstra Exchange.
This competition has now closed, thanks to everyone who entered.
Announcing the winner and new guest blogger Ryan from Prestons in New South Wales.
His entry caught our eye and we really hope the new HTC Velocity 4G helps out with ‘Velocity Parenting’. Congratulations Ryan, we really look forward to your blog review!
Entry: Velocity Parenting is the process of nurturing and supporting children at speed in any direction; a phone that can keep up with my kids, awesome!
Our Samsung Galaxy Nexus giveaway was so popular we spoke to the guys over in Products, got down on hand and knee in fact, begging for a new HTC Velocity to give away – and guess what? They succumbed!
But this is a giveaway with a twist…
We are looking for a gadget geek/nerd/blogger to convince us that they would be fantastic at writing a blog review of the HTC Velocity4G , and that lucky winner will have their review published blogger right here on Telstra Exchange, and take home their very own HTC Velocity 4G smartphone to loaded up with a stack of Encore Cap Credit and data to complete the review with. Pretty cool huh?
So, all you have to do is convince us in 25 words or less tell us;
Why should you be chosen to review the HTC Velocity 4G on Telstra Exchange?
Don’t worry about the review if you are not a social media aficionado we will give you plenty of tips and hints how to write a review if you are not sure how to get started. If you’re a seasoned blogger and writer already even better, but we won’t discriminate on that basis. Everyone is able to enter as long as they can meet these pretty straight forward Terms & Conditions.
So get creative, let us know why you want to win by filling out the entry form below!

Hah, nice try, Telstra. We all fell for this last TWO times. Never again.
I should win it because I am ALWAYS on facebook and need an upgrade from the t108 I bought at kmart, I can blog while searching for ghosts with my paranormal team in the top end of qld.
What a great competition to Win and review an HTC Velocity 4G. Fingers ,Toes and every thing else crossed
I would love to be on this trial as i am very interested in new developements with eletronic devices. Besides, my wife has a later phone that I, this cannot be left like this….
I think this is great. Im a blogger on the Telstra Exchange & I have a Velocity. Blogging is fun & I LOVE the Velocity (No I didnt get if for free)… This is a win win comp.. Good luck all… (Telstra Employee)
Fingers Crossed!
Great sounding comp guys.
But have to say the background on the Velocity 4G (as shown above) i.e. the grey blue hue. is the worst choice to try and advertise this phone.
The background makes the phone look so flat, dull and bland… when you look at the phone for the first time it does not impress.
You miss out on the subtle scroll of the background as you pan from home screen to screen etc.
I have found myself changing the background of the phones in the Telstra shops to something more impacting and striking.
Maybe i am missing something, but it doesn’t work for me
Sexy and stylish, Oh so divine, Love to review and make Velocity mine, Features galore, good looks to, Who wouldn’t want to do a review?!
Guys – I just wanted to reiterate that you cannot enter by way of commenting on the blog post, you need to submit your entries by completing the web form please.
Vanessa – make sure you enter that one!
Cheers – Dan
well i went to submit this before 5pm and it won’t let me, says it’s not accepting submissions anymore…wtf?
that’s not fair…
Hi Jana
It might have been right on 5pm sharp as the mechanism to close the competition is automatic and deadly accurate, if you were typing away and then pressed enter just at 5:00:01secs it would have refused your entry.
We got your message on Facebook as well and will accept your entry by email.
Good luck!
surely there is a brighter colored piece that you could have used in advertizing this product,,a little bland if you ask me. people take more notice of bright and shinnies if they have the choice,,,I for one enjoy bright colors…..
Great basis for updating and keeping in touch for us girls.
What a awsome comp, to get the phone and write a review! Hope i’m lucky
Love Velocity – and the opportunity to win! Looking forward to my new blog!
That’s it guys, competition is now closed!
Stacks and stacks of excellent creative entries, will be tough picking one winner, but stay tuned for the announcement.
A new blogger is about to be born….
Hey thankyou! I know it was 7 minutes to 5 est which is why I had a bit of a sulk about it! Thanks again
so when is the winner being picked
Hi Michael
We are working through the most excellent entries and will publish the winner on Weds as per the terms and conditions.
Stay tuned!
aww….can’t see any announcements on the winner…wasn’t it meant to be wednesday?
I’m liking the idea you can still get 4G on the Ipad via the Velocity’s hotspot feature! Can’t wait to give it a run…
Davey that will be an interesting speed test and use case… especially after seeing CNET’s ipad global speed test… they showed Telstra’s DC HSPA absolutely smoke the US LTE network is a download trial.
Even if getting LTE via the hotspot gives some good speeds it might not be noticeable compared to a good NextG connection.
