Yes, it’s been a big year and I’m sure I speak for the whole social media team at Telstra when I say I’m looking forward to the week ahead – Christmas Day celebrations, a break from the daily grind, some time with family, new years eve revelry and I’m most definitely looking forward to that refreshed outlook I know I’ll return with in 2012.

Everyone remembers who came first. If I were to ask you to name the second man on the moon, or which horse ran second in the 2011 Melbourne Cup, or who was the second person to climb Mt Everest, I would probably get a “who cares” response. As you know there can be a certain element of risk in being first – especially in unchartered spheres. But there is also glory. No one can ever take the title of “first”.
