We’ve come a long way baby

I’m Monty and I’m the new operations lead for one of Telstra’s newest business units, Telstra Digital.

For those of you who don’t know, Telstra Digital was born in March to improve all of our digital channels so that dealing with us online is simple and convenient – the way it should be. My job is managing the day-to-day running and strategic direction of Telstra’s websites, devices and applications as well as our social media strategy and execution.

Waking up to the Digital Life

You do not sync information between your mobile, laptop and desktop. You procrastinate upgrading the systems of your computers or mobiles. Even if it’s for free. You don’t use your apps “that much” in your smartphone. The only ones that you maximise are your game apps. You are the person that gets surprised with your mates’ “did you knows” of technology and it is followed by your “I shoulds” but then you forget about it if you see something moving.

Motorola ATRIX – a day with the new face of mobile computing

New features set to launch for the Motorola XOOM on the Next G network

Telstra first to offer Sony Ericsson Xperia™ PLAY

From tomorrow Telstra customers can be the first in Australia to grab the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, with the new gaming handset launching at select Telstra stores around the nation.

The PLAY is the world’s first PlayStation certified smartphone and features a slide-out PlayStation certified game control. It comes with six games pre-installed: Star Battalion (Gameloft), FIFA 10, Madden NFL 11 and SIMS 3 (EA Games), Bruce Lee (Digital Legends) and Crash Bandicoot (Sony Computer Entertainment).
