I tried to recharge online and it worked! Then for some unknown reason the following month your system permanently blocked my credit card so I can’t recharge online anymore and have to use vouchers.
I guess I’m ineligible for this contest.

i tried to enter this competition and when i submitted i got an \Error\ so my entry didnt get accepted – not happy!!

Still waiting for a response to my post on the 15th. I have a screenshot of the error I received if it’s any help to get the site fixed so this doesnt happen again. There was no option to retry and no indication of why the error – just frustrating!!

Paid 12 mth prepaid mobile broadband. Entered the competition with great hopes,clicked submit and received a message a problem was encountered – no entry. So sad.
It seems there may be a problem at times entering the competition as a number of my friends have said they had the same problem as I did and have not been able to enter.

I am very unhappy with Telstra on this compettion. i have entered 2 times and paid via papal and both times i got an error message that stopped me.from entering. I expect better Telstra. i will be chasing this up furthr, with the reigulator. i have tried 3 times to get the phone center staff to do something but they don’t understand.

I entered the competition and was thrilled to be notified on 1st July that my entry was one of the winning entries during June. Unfortunately, the email did not give details of when it would be delivered. Despite several attempts to find out when I might delivery of the Xoom, I did not get any reply. I would really appreciate being told when I might expect delivery. I notice under the Terms and Conditions that if the prize is not delivered by 24th August, I forfeit it. Does this mean that the competition raised our hopes but we can’t get the prize?

I’m just enquiring into the Motorola Xoom from the competition held recently that I won on the 4th July. I’ve seen that some other people have gotten a bit worried about the fact that they’d not received theirs yet too. Mine unfortunately hasn’t shown up in the letter box either yet and I’m just wondering when or if it has been sent as I’m starting to get a bit worried too. I’d be shattered if I had to forfeit the prize because it hadn’t been received by the 24th.

I received an email on the 4th of August stating that I had won a Motorola Xoom in this competition. I was really excited, and sent off all my info so the prize could be processed, but it hasn’t arrived yet. Just wondering if there was any way of finding out if it is on its way? I would be extremely disappointed to forfeit it if it does not arrive by the 24th (as some other people have mentioned).

I have found a bug in the Telstra Xooms that could be readily fixed in the upcoming 3.2 update.
Any chance you could hook me up with the right people in Telstra to discuss & confirm this is indeed a bug and get it fixed.
Essentially there is no way to view the Full non mobile version of “www.news.com.au” on a Telstra Xoom. It will always send you to the “m.news.com.au”, Non Telstra Xooms will readily let you see the full site. This is regardless of User Agent string settings.
All other websites that have mobile versions still allow the Telstra Xoom to see the full version. ie “m.theage.com.au” vs “www.theage.com.au”
There is something specific to the Telstra firmware build that is causing this. Quite possibly the HOST file Telstra have cooked in is set wrongly to redirect news.com to m.news.com.
I have asked people with non Telstra Xooms to check this out & they confirm they can see the full news site.
As News com is a fairly major site here abouts it would be good it you techs could check it out and fix it for the next firmware release.

Hi Ted I have a response for you from the mobile product team.
The user agent string which is unique to each device must be included in the websites access list to provide a full non-mobile version. If the user agent string is not included the access is denied and a default mobile version is made available.
We have tested loading this website on another manufacturer’s Honeycomb tablet and the mobile site (m.news.com.au) also loaded. We tested it on a non-Google tablet & non Motorola tablet and the full non mobile version loaded.
Unfortunately it is up to the website owner to manage their website and specify which devices can access the full non-mobile version.

I won a Xoom and sent in my details to claim the prize, but I just moved to a new address this week. I set up a mail redirect with Australia Post assuming that it would be sent through them, preferring not to bother you with my updated address.
I note that Craig has mentioned in reply to Dorothea (23 Aug 2011 at 9:58 am) that they are being sent by courier, so my plan has failed terribly.
I hope that I have not forfeited my prize by this ill-timed move. Is there any chance I can still receive the Xoom at my new address?

I finally received my Xoom yesterday (30th August) after two other attempts by the courier to deliver it to incorrect addresses given on the consignment note from Telstra.
Guess what… I have just at 9.07 a.m. today refused delivery of ANOTHER Xoom which was sent from Sydney yesterday! I hope the surplus Xoom gets back to Telstra safely, as I refused to take delivery of the item. Hopefully someone else’s prize is on its way to them.
By the way, it is a lovely piece of equipment and I am learning a lot.
