Royal-watchers on the go will be able to catch every minute of the wedding ceremony of the year on Telstra Next G mobile phones this Friday.

With the pre-wedding festivities set to clash with peak hour traffic, Telstra expects thousands of customers to be glued to their mobiles while on the bus or train ride home.

The continuous live stream from London on BigPond News will run from 3pm on Friday until 5am on Saturday 30 April.

“Even if you weren’t among the lucky 1900 people to receive an invitation to the royal wedding, you can still catch all the pomp and ceremony, on your mobile phone,” Telstra’s Executive Director of Media, J-B Rousselot said.

The mobile coverage from BigPond News is available with a daily ($3.95) or monthly ($5.95) ‘News Action Pack’. The   ‘News Action Pack’ gives customers access to live breaking news coverage on the mobile streaming channel, hourly bulletins and daily sports, entertainment and business wraps.

BigPond News will be streaming the wedding ceremony live on mobiles, online, T-Hub and T-Box so Telstra customers will be able to tune in wherever they are.

    Great just what we need!
Telstra can do that, but they cannot get a bill right!

Get the fundamentals fixed, before you bring us more bs.

  2. Sydney Lawrence says:

Jack why be negative. Telstra has the capacity and capability to give us the Royal Wedding and get the Billing System fired-up all at the same time.
