M8 It Can W8 – Give it your Thumbs Up!

It’s been a great day down here in Adelaide with the team; we kick off the first Australian race of the season this weekend and feeling pumped! I’m also pumped about a new program from Telstra called M8 IT CAN W8 which aims to stop people texting while driving.
It’s an easy phrase to remember so hopefully it will catch on; being alert while driving can not only save your life, but the lives of your mates.
I’m 100% on board with any program that supports safe driving and M8 IT CAN W8 has my thumbs up.
Give M8 IT CAN W8 the thumbs up
Because we’re all in this together no matter what team we’re on, here’s a word from a fellow driver, Alex Davison:
27°C in Adelaide and the sun is belting, how good is this! I think it’s going to be a hot weekend of racing and I’m looking forward to seeing a great turnout on the track.
While you’re cheering us all on, we’ll be asking V8 fans and the rest of Australia to get behind the Telstra M8 IT CAN W8 program which raises awareness on the dangers of texting while driving.
To show your support become a part of the pledge at www.M8ITCANW8.com and order your free “thumb banneds” as a reminder to keep your thumbs on the steering wheel and keep the texting until you’re out of the car.
See you trackside!

I think this is a fantastic initiative and I did register the day this blog came to light. Im just wondering what time frame I should expect to receive my thumb banneds. Hopefully sooner than later to keep the momentum.
great idea i hope people take notice and dont brush it off
Road safety issues should be addressed – but not by the car-racing company, V8 Supercars Australia. This would be the last company in Australia to promote driver safety. Telstra should be responsible with this issue and terminate any relationship with the Gold Coast business. Any sponsorship should be with reputable companies that actually promote safety and are not involved for their own profit.
