‘Twas the thought before Christmas

Santas-sleigh

Well, people, this is my last post as Telstra’s Christmas blogger. I have had such a fun time doing this and I hope you have enjoyed reading the posts as much as I have enjoyed writing them (and using my Telstra T-Touch Tab to get the stories out).

Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year and it has been an honour to get into the spirit of the season by writing about it. I can’t wait for the moment next week when the shops are shut, when families go home to each other, when the pets curl up on their beds and it’s Christmas eve and there’s that excited, electric anticipation of Christmas in the air. That’s what this whole lead up is about.

For most of us who have friends, family and loved ones to share this day with, may you have a beautiful day and even if you may not be able to stand some of the people there, just remember that it’s only for one day and tomorrow you can drink beer, watch the cricket and otherwise continue on as normal.

Still, Christmas is also a time of great disparity and there are many who do not have these comforts and social supports to lean on – to those, I hope that your Christmas is safe and warm and that you are welcomed wherever you may be.
Many of us are also celebrating Christmases without certain people this year. It may be the first year that we’ve had to do this, or it may be something we have been doing for a while. Still there are many people who are having Christmases that aren’t like they used to be. To those people, a heartfelt hug of goodwill and love.

Above are a few of the photos I’ve been taking of Christmas as I have been out and about blogging, courtesy of the Telstra T-Touch Tab.

And lastly, I still haven’t got round to actually writing my Christmas cards, even though I had the list ready and waiting. So to all my beautiful friends and family members. Merry Christmas! And I’ll see you in a couple of days!!!

Merry Christmas everyone.

Enjoy. Connect. Share.
