A big thank you to everyone who entered our “Let’s get into shape together survey” competition.

You provided some fantastic responses and some great ideas. We’re currently reviewing and analysing all your feedback, and we’ll be relying on it to help shape and improve the Telstra Exchange website.

Here are some general statistics from the survey.

    Male – 80.3%
    Female – 19.7%
  • Location of respondents:
    ACT – 3%
    NSW – 29.3%

    QLD – 17.7%
    SA – 5.1%
    TAS – 3%
    VIC – 31.3%
    WA – 8.1%

Today we get to announce the winners – yay!!!!

The prize-winning question asked for input on how we could improve Telstra Exchange with additional features or functionality. The responses were many and varied, but a few general themes emerged, including:

  • Improved segmentation or customisation of content
  • Greater integration with social media channels
  • Development of a Telstra Exchange app (for iPhone/Android etc.)
  • Continue to improve Telstra Exchange as a customer service channel
  • More consumer/user generated information around products and services

The winners are:

Major Prize – HTC Desire

Winner: Paul Wright

In his winning entry, Paul wrote:
“Photo Gallery on something like Flickr of latest and great products, e.g. A Gallery of Mobile Phones on offer, shots of things like the Wireless Modems etc.  Reviews from users, maybe Video submitted reviewing Telstra’s products, maybe offer a prize for existing customers with products to upload to you tube a Video review of a Telstra product or service. Nothing is better accepted by consumers then another consumer’s point of view on a product.  More articles from back of House Telstra staff who are the innovation behind the company. The people who keep the place ticking, maintain the world class networks and innovate great new offers, products and services.  A Telstra Exchange iPhone/iPad application similar to the Engadget application which makes mobile browsing of the website a breeze, and easy home screen access to browse on the move when filling in time via a mobile device.  Great How To, Tips and Tricks articles, e.g. 10 hand features on Android/Iphone most people don’t know etc.”

Second Price – HTC Wildfire

Winner: Reece Wagner

Runner-Up Prizes – 5 X Wi-Fi Hotspots

Winners:

  • Greg Wrighton
  • Aaron Doyle

Congratulations guys, we hope you enjoy your early Christmas presents : )

What happens next?

Ok, so now the ball is in our court and it’s up to us to get busy implementing your ideas. The first things we’ll be tackling in the new year are:

  • Including Flickr image galleries within blogs
  • Providing a series of practical how-to blogs that highlight how to get stuff done online – on Telstra Exchange and on other telstra.com websites
  • Building a Telstra Exchange app for major mobile devices

We promise to keep you up-to-date with what we’re up to – and hope you’ll keep the feedback coming.

Stay tuned for the next round of user-focused enhancements. Until then Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. See you in 2011.

Happy Holidays from the Telstra Exchange crew

The Telstra Exchange team wish everyone a safe and happy festive season.

Like most folks, we’re looking forward to a bit of down-time over the Christmas-New Year period. With that in mind we’ll be signing off from around midday on Christmas Eve (Friday 24 December 2010). We won’t be publishing any new blog posts until we return on 4 January 2011.

If you need immediate help with a Telstra product or service, please contact Telstra Customer Support.

Thank you guy’s for the prize, was such a shock to get a call, glad I was able to offer some useful feedback. Keep up the great work :)

  5. I was really bummed that I didn’t get a chance to finish off the survey (that I started, like, umpteen times) but you know what – it seems our readers want EXACTLY the same things I do for the future of Telstra Exchange.

Nice work folks (both the blog’s team and our awesome readers) – very much look forward to what 2011 will bring for the site, and for the company.
