blog-wp7-unboxing-video-banner

With only one more sleep before we announce who the Telstra Windows Phone 7 Social Reviewers are, I want to re introduce myself and show you all some of the unique features of the HTC Mozart 7 and the Windows Phone 7 operating system.

Windows Phone 7My name is David Saidden. I’m a product manager with Telstra’s mobile devices team and some of you you might have even seen my other videos on Telstra Exchange. The unboxing of the HTC Wildfire and a review of iPhone 4 apps.

In the unboxing video below, I’ll take you through some of my favourite aspects of the device and the operating system.

As always, let us know what you think about HTC Mozart 7 and Windows Phone 7 operating system.
I’d also be happy to receive your rating (out of 10) of my efforts during Movember.

  2. Daniel says:

    Chopper eat your heart out!

  3. Josef says:

    Cool cant wait.

  4. Tony Koch says:

Thanks David. Really looking forward to some great news and the opportunity to review the new HTC Mozart on the Telstra network.

    David,

Lucky you mentioned it was Mo-vember….or I would have just assumed you were a really big Craig David fan :P

Seriously, the form factor on this phone is damn gorgeous! Love the design of the handset…As a longtime ZuneHD customer, the Metro GUI evolution is great to see with WP7.

Nice little unboxing video. T1 looks good…. and it’s great to see a viable alternative to Android and of course….Apple.

Tomorrow will be a very exciting day for the lucky winners at the WP7 HTC social blog…Any idea of what time of day for the announcement – as I may have to reschedule some customer visits as the anticipation is killing me ! LOL

    :)

    • Brendan O'Keefe [T-EX Customer Engagement Manager] says:

Classic. Scott, I was thinking a similar thing about that mo of his. There’s alot of love for this phone in our office. We’ve been playing with WP7 on the HTC mozart for a couple of days now. The good news is we will be announcing the winners @10 am. Good luck everyone!

  6. Have my fingers crossed, would be heaps of fun.

  7. Josh Pugh says:

Bit exciting, one more sleep! I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

  8. Tia Porter says:

Wow David! Great unboxing video. The phone looks even better in action than I had expected. The lines are smooth and look like they’d be easy in the hand. The navigation appears really smooth and flowing, really easy to use.

It looks like Microsoft has really come out with all pistons firing with this number!

I don’t know if I’ll be able to sleep tonight with anticipation for the announcement of the lucky winners!

And nice MOvember effort! Love the extended mo look :D

  13. philli[ says:

hi dave thanks for showing us the phone looks great iv applied so hopefully i make it

  14. Rita says:

Got the phone. Love using it. How did I function before without it.

  15. Paul La'Hay says:

The more look, see an in-depth play is in order :) ….still torn between WP7 & Android… re unboxing – good to see the functionality & Telstra content now a tile – not ‘taking over’ the Mozart as with previous efforts… BIG ++++

    … thanks to all involved

  16. That’s one nice Mo you got growing there!! what did you feed it?

Liked the unboxing video – needless to say, am now twice as excited about the posibility of getting my hands on one of these and reviewing the social media capabilities!

Also, David, hit us up with your twitter details buddy!

  17. Tomas Nemecek says:

Nice short video … :) Had the opportunity play for couple of minutes with the Phone in of your T stores. I was a bit confused with the WP7 … so different comparing to Android, iOS or Symbian. Shame I didnt have more time to play with it. Looking forward to read or see any reviews or be one of the reviewers :D

  18. Nickolas Mckellar says:

Hopefully I get chosen :) would be fun to test this thing out.

  19. Thanks David .. and thanks Brendan for letting us know what time we’ll find out the winners!

Love the size of this phone .. and what appears to be the ease of navigation!

PS. That moustache is faaabulous. Hope you’re gonna keep it come December 1.

  20. I’m a little annoyed that I bought into a Samsung Galaxy S plan and then I see this sweet gem of a phone. DOH! Consumers are really the winners at the moment with so many delicious phones doing the rounds. Just think back to 2006 when this sort of stuff was a dream. My… how far we’ve gone and how quickly we’re moving forward!

  21. …oh… nice Movember effort. I’ve gone for a similar style but you put mine to shame!

  22. Nathan Glover says:

    Hey Dave,

From what I can see, i’ll be straight… I Love it! I’ve been skeptical about whether or not the hardware would sufficiently compliment the extremely stylish UI and transitions, but this video has cleared up my worries.

Obviously I’m still interested in how it’ll preform under different circumstances, whether it be Games or Social Networking.

The Handset itself looks nice, and the patterns/grip? on the back seem unique. The triangular battery cover is also something I haven’t seen too often and I like how the shape is actually part of the visual appeal.

MicroUSB *god sent* especially too a current iPhone user.

The wait is killing me, can’t wait till the lucky few are announced *crosses fingers* good luck guys!

    • Nathan Glover says:

and by MicroUSB I obviously meant SD ;)

Nice Mo Haha, absolutely needs to be kept all year round

  23. Can’t wait!
Fingers crossed I’m one of the lucky winners – really excited to see what these Win7 phones can do!

  24. Andrew Lim says:

    Nice Mo :D

Hopefully will get my hands on a nice HTC Mo too ;)

  25. Les says:

Very nice review certainly has my attention. :) My only concern is the amount of apps available compared to the other formats. Apart from that i would certainly put this in the running for my next phone. :)

  26. phill says:

i missed out but then country folk usualy do

  27. Cathie says:

    Oh well.

I didn’t win … but I would like to sincerely thank Telstra Exchange for sending an email to let me know. That was a nice touch folks.

Oh ps. As a consolation prize, you could let me upgrade my E71 for nothing!!

    /grin.
