What a night – The Telstra Business Women’s Awards

I thought you might be interested in watching my video blog of the Telstra Business Women’s Awards national finals, which was held in Melbourne last night. It truly was an amazing night, with incredible stories of womens’ business success.
I had a chat to some inspiring women who were finalists in their categories, and I was also fortunate to have the opportunity to chat to the 2010 Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year, Rio Tinto’s Denise Goldsworthy, who gave same great advice to women, and shared with me some secrets to her success…
For those who don’t know Denise, began her career in the mining sector at the age of 17, at the BHP blast furnace as a trainee Metallurgist. She’s now Managing Director of Dampier Salt Limited (DSL), a business that produces industrial salt by solar evaporation of seawater at Dampier and Port Hedland and from underground brine at Lake MacLeod.
I also had a chat to Telstra’s Chairman, Catherine Livingstone, and Telstra’s Chief Marketing Officer and Ambassador for the Awards, Kate McKenzie.
