I think its fantastic that Telstra has provided a smart phone that is on pre-paid. Telstra has dropped behind in the mobile pre-paid market and by offering the HTC Wildfire is a great incentive for consumers to join the brilliance of Telstra’s Next-G network. Well done.
Where can i get the HTC wildfire on prepaid for $349 outright,Telstra shop know nothing about it,can you point me the right direction.
Hi Bart
The product people tell me that you can get it in Phantom Black from all Telstra stores from tomorrow and in white at the end of September.
Cheers
Kristen

Thanks
Good phone – poor online service. 15 days after orderining from telstra, no handset. I cancelled the order
When will the android 2.2 update be released for the htc wildfire for telstra customers????
Hi, I am also very interested to know when this update will be released to Wildfire users in Australia as I have just seen the update on the HTC site, as much as I would prefer to use the specific ROM supplied from the carrier for my phone I am more than willing to mod the phone if it means I don’t need to wait 12 months for Telstra to release it with their own branding all over the place, I own the phone outright and it has been network unlocked so trying to scare me that it will void my warranty by modding the phone will only be seen as a cop-out, I will simply mod the phone and choose another provider on the spot. I look forward to the answer you can provide
Having bought an HTC Desire from telstra outright to use on pre pay, I found said phone fantastic but waiting for its 2.2 update was painful for all! Especially the feedback coming from Telstra as to the ‘true’ time for its release.
I bought my lady a wildfire for xmas on a 55 day xmas special ($200 free calls extra a month for 6 months) Have never had the bonus put on automatically & have had to ring up each time at near most to an hr each time to get it on!!
Now its the update for the Wildfire to 2.2, PLEASE just give people a detailed and true? idea as to its release…C’mon Telstra we customers spend a lot of $$ with you as the beneficiary, and others are catching up!
i can setup my Wildfire to send/receive MMS. gone through phone setup many times and there isnt and option which is suggested for APS
please help, the phone is great otherwise
Froyo update has been released
