Hi Ernie,
You can hold down the '#' key to engage / disengage silent mode.
I'm not sure about the button on the back. Here is a<a href="http://www.zte.com.au/downloads/manuals/T203_manual_web.pdf" rel="nofollow"> link to the user manual</a>, which may have more information.

In Audio Profiles I have set the silent mode at off. So please how do I turn the silent mode off once and for all?

i bought one of those "big button" mobile phones from telstra for my 91 year old war veteran and pensioner father. clearly he is not interested in knowing about state of the art mobile phone technology whatsoever and making lots of calls. he just wants a phone to use in emergencies - either making and receiving calls - if he falls over, crashes his scooter, feels faint preceding a stroke etc. after contacting countless telstra personnel and even mr david thodey, the telstra ceo and all his sicophants i was told that i can't buy the phone outright or on a plan and pay a nominal and reasonable post-paid charge on his or my monthly bill of about $5/month which i did with optus, i had to buy a pre-paid plan that was "locked" into telstra. against my better judgement i settled on a 12 month pre-paid for deal and was told we would be contacted when the pre-paid was used up. i have discovered that he received ONE sms advising that his account had expired, and that was around three months ago, and after he asked me to check to see why his phone wasn't working properly just a few days ago. everything i told telstra would happen did happen. oh why did i leave optus? telstra is full of smart arse kid sales persons and marketers who know little about elderly customers' needs and wants, and i just wish they would listen to their loyal customers for a change. now it looks like i have to go back to that black hole of customer empathy, called a telstra shop, to negotiate a suitable deal for my father before he dies.
