Patti’s got the iPhone down pat

blog_phone-evolution-banner

Like most people, I’ve had a mobile phone for a while now and have never really known how to use all of its functions. I just really only used it as a phone, but recently Telstra gave me this terrific new iPhone so I have joined the iPhone brigade and can’t believe that even I have worked out how to do so much more than just call people!

I thought I was so clever emailing from home, but now realise I can do all of my emails from anywhere on my phone. My daughter, Lauren, also upgraded to an iPhone and although she’s much younger and is better on the phone than I am, I think she is amazed that I have almost caught up to her already! Last week I was in Sydney and went to see Bert in Wicked and after the show went backstage to see him and everyone in the cast stopped by to ask us about the grandkids.

So my favourite part of my new iPhone is having my all of my family photos quickly on hand to show everyone. A group of my friends all over the world and I are always swapping grandchildren stories and photos, competing over who has the cutest, and I’ve taken so many photos of the kids to send that my phone’s photo gallery is looking more like a novel now. And I’ve even set it up so when ever Bert calls a photo of him with Sam and Eva comes up!

I can relate to your joy.

I love how user friendly my IPhone is. I enjoy some of the apps including the ‘service bell’ and ‘White Pages’.

I am waiting for added features on the next IPhone, hopefully a bigger camera and video calling, because that will really make it.

I am in the same league as you Pat. But apart from the photos and email I am also intouch with friends through Facebook and have got Skype too! Iphone is the best thing that has happened to me. I keep in touch with friends and family at the touch of a button.

  3. I agree too, having an iphone has been fantastic for me because I have been able to communicate with the other people in my business much faster and get better results for my clients. The iphone is an excellent business aid.

I love my iPhone, and it just keeps getting better. I bought the first 3G and then upgraded to the 3GS and handed down the old phone to the wife. When the next phone comes out my 13 year old son will be using his Pre-paid Telstra sim in the iPhone 3G. Cant wait to see what Telstra offer when I get the next phone :)

Why do i love my iphone?
    1. I was travelling to Warwick Qld for a birthday party, Halfway between the Gold Coast and Beaudesert, my car broke down. I got out my iphone, used google maps to locate my exact position, Used yellow pages online to find a tow truck service near me, called the tow truck and then sat down and played on facebook and watched youtube whilst i was waiting.
    2. my teenage daughter “suddenly” remembered, on the way to school, that she has to bring ingredients to her cooking class today, we stopped at Woolworths and I ask her what she needed, “I don’t know” was her reply.
Rolling my eyes, i ask her what she was making. A bread roll creation of some sort was the reply. So out comes Iphone, I google up bread roll recipes, hand her the phone and say “GO”
    :)
