Telstra’s Ross Fielding, Hugh Bradlow, Mike Wright and Richard Fink joined HTC CEO Peter Chou to announce Telstra’s first Android smartphone – the HTC Desire.

In other news:
Hugh Bradlow joined representatives from the United Nations, Gates Foundation and the Communications Minister of Finland to talk about the role that mobile networks can play to improve our world. At the inisterial Programme, Dr Bradlow presented on Emergency Alert which led the United Nations representative to suggest a similar approach could have had a powerful impact on relief efforts in Haiti.
