Love is in the air. Literally.

I’m sure there are people who look forward to St Valentine’s Day each year. For those who seek to express the mark of Cupid it must be hard to find the perfect gift and so I’m here to help. Here is my list of wonderful gifts you could give:
1) If you’re a bit shy, have several hundred Valentines or just can’t bring yourself to say it in person why not do something electronic?
The team here at Telstra tell me that we are expecting 25 million text messages to be sent on Feb 14. There may also be a surge in love-related ring tone sales, graphics and other fun things. Apparently you can buy a ring tone for your sweetheart too if they have compatible equipment. How nice.
What really caught my eye was the prediction that BigPond anticipate a surge in anti-love ring tone purchases. Yes, if you’re feeling lonely why not load Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” on your phone? Each time it rings on St Val’s day you can be reminded that it’s not the love of your life calling. Brilliant.
2) Spend the money on someone else
Valentine’s Day will be interesting in the Kutcher/Moore household this year as it seems Ashton and Demi are sending roses to human trafficking victims. Nothing says “I’m glad you’re off the streets and in a shelter” quite like a rose. Lovely.
3) If you are hell-bent on purchasing something, make it funny.
Come on – you really can’t go past these items as a way of saying “I love you”:
Progressive International Microwavable S’Mores Maker
You can save your sweetheart the hassle of squishing bits of sweet things between crunchy things and have a machine do it.
i_Wallet Digital Photo Viewer
Photos in wallets can get soiled easily. What was once a lovely snap of you taken in a blissful moment in the south of France can quickly turn into a grubby version of those dolls made from shrunken up apple cores that retired ladies make and sell at craft markets. This clever wallet allows fresh, clean images of you to be flashed around with pride from the inside of your beloved’s cash tin.
Computer Care Screen Wipes
Fun screen wipes with a zest of lemon fragrance and a chamois tummy.
Your Valentine can think of you as they wipe smudges, grime and dirt off their computer or TV screen with the underbelly of a wild animal. Ain’t love grand?
