Mr TELSTRA, I am getting mighty tired of the ongoing saga. I accept that I have wireless internet because of old lines here in Country Victoria.
BUT surely we can have more GB for our already inflated price. You are ripping of defenceless country customers.

I agree with the people above. It is a joke, we get 7gb because we live 10minutes out of Bundaberg and cannot get adsl because of old lines which telstra will not upgrade. My daughters in Bundaberg get 100gb downloads every month for about the same as I pay for 7gb and I also have home phone, and mobile phones with Telstra. So come on Telstra start doing something for the out of towners and put the citites on hold for a little while. We would appreciate it.

Yes, we are in the same boat, We have wireless also No choice either. it has to be Wireless or Wireless. Thats it. I want to see Telstra bring its Gigabytes up to at least 30 Gigs for the same $ as 15. No Choice in this so called lucky country that we are told what we can have and can do. Demacratic dictatorship.

I agree with Kirk, Sheryl,Josh, Julian. Telstra is ripping off all country people. We pay more for less. WHY? WHY? WHY?
City people have unlimited access for cheaper, and we have to watch our limits all the time. Using over our limit we are penalized by our internet being slowed to speeds that our unusable.We need internet service the same as city people. TELSRA...... if you cant upgrade the lines, then give us more for less, as the wireless net work is already in place. Telstra forced me to change to wireless and cut off my ISDN service and then took at least six months before it was reliable. Telstra technicians gave up after deleting data from my computer, and then handing me the book of instructions telling me that they had been there long enough and I would have to do it myself. After many complaints I was sent 3 diffent antennas before they actually sent a technician to install a special antenna on the roof of my house. Then Telstra tried to bill me. I would change from Telstra if there was another server. I did change my phone service and Telstra called inquiring why I had left them. I told them about the new deal I had from another company and they offered me a deal which included more download for less dollars. I asked why they had not offered it while I was still with them, but they couldnt answer the question. Just promised a better deal if I returned.

I have travelled all over Southeastern Australia and South Frankston has the worst service I have experienced. It is about time this black spot was fixed. Iam still waiting for someone from Telstra to contact me from my last complaint regarding this problem. We have to use an antenna for our moblle phone service to limit drop out.

I am between exchanges with the closest one being 4.6km away and I still can't get ADSL. I therefore have to pay $90 each month for my children to be able to access the internet for school. This cost would be halved if I lived at the bottom of our hill instead of the top of the hill. We are not in a remote area -Come on Telstra, get servious!

Right on Josh,

10gb is disgraceful! If I could get adsl I would get it. If there was another isp that offered more data, I would use them. But I can't. Unfortunately I'm not the only one in this position.
10gb certainly don't last us long, with a household of 6, and the shaped speeds are ridiculous! GW suggested sometime ago that people that are in my position, with no other options, should be able to have a fixed wireless account. What a great idea! But I think it fell on deaf ears... Actually all the comments we post, fall on deaf ears!

Anyway, enough whinging, hopefully the 18th of October will bring us some good news....
50gb ++++++++++++++++++++++++++

10gigs is an absolute joke, i can easily use it up within the first week, i mean come on telstra, it is already costing you near to nothing to have wireless up, why not increase the usage limit... (by the way i saw that you count 1 gig as 1000mb, another way to rip us off when 1gig = 1024mb

I agree with Julian Kirk. Telstra is penalizing country customers and we still pay more for less. We dont have any alternatives because of old lines so our only option is wireless.No reason why we can't have unlimited wireless internet. The network is already in place so it is available, therefore it should be at less cost to customers who have no cheaper alternatives as enjoyed by city customers .
